The annual marksmanship competition was held in Timmins on the weekend for cadets from across the region. Cadets from Timmins, Hearst, Kapuskasing, Iroquois Falls, Cochrane and Kirkland Lake were represented. Ranking first was the Timmins Army cadets. Second was the Cochrane Army cadets and moving up in the standings was Kapuskasing finishing third. Iroquois Falls air cadets were next followed by Hearst’s army cadets. The Junior Top Shot of the competition was Corporal Renee Martin of Kapuskasing with 90% accuracy. In the senior division Warrant Officer Rachelle Theberge finished in third place with an accuracy of 92%. Also on Kap’s team were Cadets Taylor Gorham, Gabel Nadeau, and Mackenzie Rukavina.
