If you want to wet a line this summer then Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing should be on your short-list of destinations according to MP, Carol Hughes. With access to cold water fisheries on two Great Lakes and thousands of lakes, rivers and streams in the area stretching from Smooth Rock Falls through Hearst out to Lake Superior; from the Chapleau Game Preserve down to the island dotted channels of Lake Huron’s north shore, there is something for everyone no matter what you hope to catch. Hughes began by chronicling the annual Father’s Day Walleye Tournament in Dubreuiville complete with a $10,000 tagged fish and closed it with an open invitation for all to come this summer and see what makes Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing so special.
