Storing those old computers and monitors? Or what about the old stereo system you just don’t want to throw away. Instead of dumping them in the landfill, the Ontario Electronic Stewardship was created to recycle old electronics safely. And it’s all free. The Cochrane-Temiskaming Waste Management Board was given the opportunity to have the OES come to the communities in their catchment area to have the electronic recycling done. Hearst was one of the first in the area to have this in late August. Mattice will hold the recycling on September 25th at their Sports Complex and Kapuskasing will hold theirs October 2nd across from the Sports Palace. There’s detailed information on their website at www.dowhatyoucan.ca.
