Ken Ukrainetz, a Hearst conservation officer with the Ministry of Natural Resources was presented with the Peace Officer Exemplary Service Medal by Lois Deacon, Director of the Enforcement Branch. Created by the Governor General in 2004, the medal recognizes the efforts of those dedicated to preserving Canada’s public safety, and who have done so in an exemplary manner. Ukrainetz was one of 18 conservation officers who received the medal in a ceremony on November 30^th.
