The Hearst Detachment of the OPP closed Highway 11 between Kap and Hearst late yesterday afternoon because of the weather. Blowing snow and snow accumulation caused white-out conditions and dangerous driving. Highway 11 has been reopened to traffic as of 8:00am this morning. Because of the highway closure, lots of transports were backed up in both locations. Traffic began moving shortly afte 8:00am.
