Volunteer organizations are important in all communities and even more so in Northern Ontario, according to Carol Hughes. Hughes stood in Parliament yesterday to pay tribute to the Rotary Club of Wawa which is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Hughes says that Rotarians are involved with programs that deliver on both the local and international level; as exemplified by their campaign to eradicate polio. The Wawa chapter is part of a district that includes Elliot Lake, Chapleau, Kapuskasing and Hearst.
