Officials of both Hearst and Kapuskasing agree that working together will benefit the region. Representatives from both communities will be travelling together to Sault Ste. Marie early this year to promote the region’s tourism industry. Another need is to share and promote each other’s health care facilities. There is also a commitment to reunite business leaders from both communities at a reception sometime in the near future. Both Mayor Roger Sigouin of Hearst and Alan Spacek of Kap are looking forward and encourage their respective communities to join them in this new endeavor of economic growth.
