Kapuskasing and Hearst McDonald’s raised $5372.89 in McHappy Day yesterday. Funds will be split between Ronald McDonald House and the Northern Corridor Children’s Fund in Kapuskasing and Ronald McDonald House and the Rotary Club of Hearst in Hearst. Local businessmen, teachers, and politicians helped out during the daylong event. Owner Cathy Courchaine also said that they will be fundraising starting today for the new Ronald McDonald House in Toronto. Other fundraising activities will be done throughout the year.
