There’s a new museum scheduled to open next year in Hearst. According to Mayor Roger Sigouin, negotiations are almost complete for the site and once that’s done, work on the museum will begin. Sigouin said yesterday that one of the showcase pieces will be the old sawmill from Opasatika. It’s expected that the museum will be open to the public by June of next year.
