Effective immediately, hospital visits have been cancelled at the Hearst Notre Dame Hospital.  Special requests for visits must be addressed to the Charge Nurse of the unit and depending on circumstances, certain requests may be considered.  Please note, the main entrance will be locked daily at 3:30 pm.  The public is also requested to limit visits to the emergency room to emergency situations only.  The hospital is recommending as well that people with influenza-like symptoms restrict their moments within the community to avoid futher spread of influenza.  The hospital staff thanks you in advance for your cooperation in limiting the spread of disease both in the facility and in the community.
