NOHFC is providing $50,000 to the Kapuskasing Economic Development Corporation to determine the economic viability of deposits of clay, slate, soapstone and silica. Communities that are involved include Kapuskasing, Val Rita-Harty, Fauquier-Strickland, Moonbeam, Opasatika, Mattice, Hearst and Timmins. This study could provide new economic development and future jobs in the area.
