Fête Champêtre - September 18th

What a great idea to have a Fête Champêtre to close off the AGRIVA Markets season. This activity could even become an important annual event for our community. It could be a way to celebrate the end of the growing season for our producers but also a way to welcome autumn and winter which are very active seasons for the community. Children are also back to school; families are back from holidays and back from the cottages. The community is vibrant again.

AGRIVA Markets – 2010 mid-season reflection

After the first three AGRIVA Markets, the volunteer AGRIVA group is very satisfied with the results. The participation of the growers/producers is excellent and new products are appearing at every Markets. The population is also showing up with close to 500 visitors at the last Market even with very average weather. It is very interesting to see the social aspect developing as this is a very important in communities. At the last Market, the presence of street musicians was very much appreciated. There are still three Markets to be held in September and the last one (September 18th) will be joined with the fall fair to close off the Market season.

Photographs to Help the Recruitment of Health Professionals

The recruitment of health professionals is a process that is constantly growing. The preparations begin now in order to prepare for the next wave of recruitment fairs which begin in the fall.
Posters and displays currently used in recruitment events and other promotional activities must be renewed. Therefore, the recruitment committee is seeking help from the community to get photos that might be used on these recruiting tools. According to Jocelyn Blais, head of Recruitment, 15-20 photos that represent our community well are sought. These photos should represent the strengths of our community because these images are used to attract attention during recruitment events.
