Good morning and welcome to the -30 degree temperatures of Northern Ontario! Now this is not the norm, but we have become accustomed to at least one really crazy cold spell per winter. According to the
weather network, the temperature is slowly going up and will hit -19 by the weekend and strangely reach +3 next week.
Why weather? In this town, snow is our greatest asset. Snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice fishing - name it - you can do it. How you get here and what you come to Hearst for is up to you, but know that I'm here to help you create your winter escape.
Don't forget the upcoming
Hearst Winter Carnival , from February 8
th-17th 2008. The events planned for this year's carnival promise to be exciting and fun for the whole family. Personally, I can't wait to see the snow castle and snow sculptures that are usually the highlight of the whole carnival.
See you there!
