| x As predicted, I did not have a quiet weekend at home. Why should I when there are things to do and people to see? I managed to get a lot of things done before getting skate-skiing lessons with my good friend Lucie on Sunday. With -3 temperatures making for fabulous ski conditions, kids young and old enjoyed their afternoon runs at the Hearst Cross-country ski club. Carnival preparations are also running their course and hopefully the work of the volunteers will not MELT! Carnival celebrations begin on February 8th and weather forecasters are calling form mild temperatures and rain??? Hello global warming - I just wonder how the BonSoo in Sault-Ste-Marie is coping with all the variances. Snowmobile trails are groomed and open, and the snowmobilers are out there. I go by the local motels every few days to check out if their parking lots are full of sleds... just a little research. It's time to pray for snow, everyone, it makes winter much more enjoyable... Have a great day! Tourisme Hearst Tourism Hearst Economic Development Corporation 1-800-655-5769 www.hearst.ca Enjoy this feed? Subscribe to http://www.visithearst.blogspot.com/rss/xml |
