There are a few new “hotspots” across NorthEastern Ontario thanks to the NOHFC, Community Futures Development Coporations, Northern Tel, and NEOnet. The investment of $220-thousand resulted in the installation of 65 free wireless Internet access points in 14 Northeastern Ontario communities. In Hearst it’s available at Gilles Gagnon Welcome Centre, Places des Arts, the Child Care Centre, Claude Larose Arena and the Club Action. In Kapuskasing it’s available at Riverside Park, Welcome Centre, Civic Centre and Library, Sports Palace and the Kapuskasing Airport. In Mattice-Val Cote at the Mattice Sports Complex. In Moonbeam at the Public Library and Moonbeam Community Centre and Tourist Centre.
