The NOHFC has announced funding for a project in Hearst. Hearst Regional Green Technologies Centre will receive $50,000 for its project to diversify the forestry and agricultural sectors making value-added industries and to expand into new areas like bioenergy. The centre will be a focal point for research, demonstration and education on sustainable forestry practices and technologies. The centre is expected to open later this year.
